A Day On The Green

Traditional Madeline Island 4th of July

THE MUSEUM IS OPEN 10:00AM – 5:00PM

Every year after the parade on La Pointe's Main Street, which starts at 10:30am at the Marina and ends at the corner just past the Museum, island residents and visitors gather on the green in front of the Madeline Island Museum.

Here they are treated to a special program, speeches, parade awards, and a home-grown music festival, planned and presented by island residents.

Other events are featured on the island throughout the day, and of course there are fireworks off the ferry dock in the evening!

THE ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION ON MADELINE ISLAND HAS BEEN VOTED ONE OF THE BEST HOMETOWN JULY 4TH CELEBRATIONS IN AMERICA!
