Dyed cloth by Elin Noble
Event Description:

This workshop is for fiber artists of all levels.

Mornings and afternoons will be spent with Elin, learning her techniques for printing with natural dyes.  You will use natural dye extracts to dye more than 100 colors on three types of cloth (cotton, linen and silk) for your own color library and reference swatch book that will inspire future projects.

She will demonstrate her techniques for polychromatic printing, and how to apply mordants through printing, discharging, and overprinting prior to dyeing.   You will also learn how to attain multiple colors in one dye bath, while simultaneously achieving fine detail and controlled placement of color and imagery.

Elin will also teach you how to make and maintain a quick and eco-friendly indigo vat, and will be available in the evenings for individual consultations.
