The Friends of the Madeline Island Museum will host Patty Loew, Professor Emerita in the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and the inaugural director of NU's Center for Native American and Indigenous Research (retired). Prof. Loew is a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe.

Professor Loew will give an informal talk about oral tradition and the importance of oral history and oral storytelling.
