Join the Madeline Island Historical Preservation Association for the Remembrance Walk to honor veterans. The event takes place following the Memorial Day ceremony at the ferry dock. Walk with us from the ferry landing up Colonel Woods Avenue to the MIHPA Heritage Center. At the Veterans Honor Garden the flag will be raised, the community choir will sing and new pavers will be installed honoring living and deceased veterans. We will also dedicate the mural that was completed on the back of the Angus building thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board and the La Pointe Center for the Arts. Cookies and refreshments will be served.
