Event Description:
Gather on the museum green as you enjoy patriotic music, speeches and the city of La Pointe's holiday parade. Watch as beautifully designed floats, marching bands, community groups and more make their way past the museum in honor of America's birthday. Enjoy the annual flag-raising ceremony as you listen to "The Star-Spangled Banner" and a rousing rendition of "Over to Old La Pointe!" After the celebration, visit the Madeline Island Museum where the general admission ticket is half price for the 4th of July! Cost: This event is free and open to the public. Know Before You Go: Outdoor activities could be canceled due to weather. The museum store is open during operating hours. Guests may exit and return throughout the day. No food/beverage allowed. Restrooms and water fountains are available on site. The site will remain open rain or shine, except on a gale day. Unredeemed tickets can be used on another date in the case of a gale day. No pets are allowed. Service animals are permitted. Because of the historic nature of the buildings, not all areas are ADA accessible.
